So,...the big question? Where do I put my articles, documents, images, and data? Well, you've come to the right spot!

Some basic info:
  • The URL of the server (for WWW images, excel data sheets and powerpoint presentations) is http://ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu/studentresearch/
  • If you'd like to see the STUDENT RESEARCH folder listings, just type http://ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu/studentresearch/ into your WWW browser. You'll get a folder listing for each class that looks like this:

  • If you are taking the spring Global Climate Change class (If you are taking another class, just click on the appropriate folder), just click on climate_projects_05 folder and you should get a directory (folder) listing that looks like this:

    So, on and so forth!

    Use a FTP Program to UPLOAD (docs, PDFs, excel data, images, movies, etc) to your Project Folder

  • WINDOWS USERS!! FTP programs are everywhere! You can Download an ftp client from: http://www.units.muohio.edu/mcs/software/Windows/WS_FTP.shtml
  • From a WWW browser, the FTP address is: ftp://name:password@ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu/studentresearch/ This WONT WORK cause you need the proper NAME and PASSWORD
  • Important: Your images, powerpoints, word processing files, EXCEL data files, etc. MUST have the proper suffix to work

    Student Research Folders By Course

  • To see all of the course research folders with a WEB Browser:
  • To "drill-down" through the folder heirarchy of a particular course, such as....... Use an FTP client to TRANSFER files to your specific folder on the server ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu. A typical FTP window might look like this:

    "Server Rules" for Student Research Uploads:

  • The URL of the Server (for WWW images, excel data sheets and powerpoint presentations, etc) is http://ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu/studentresearch/
  • Windows users can FTP images, data sheets and powerpoint presentations to the rivers02 folder from your desktop
  • WINDOWS USERS!! Download an ftp client from: http://www.units.muohio.edu/mcs/software/Windows/WS_FTP.shtml
  • To gain UPLOAD access to the studentresearch folder, you must know: --Your NAME is xxxxxx Your PASSWORD is xxxxxx
  • The FTP address is: ftp://name:password@ecosystems.wcp.muohio.edu/studentresearch/ This WONT WORK cause you need the proper NAME and PASSWORD
